Chitwan National Park Chitwan National Park is a nature conservation park established for the purpose of protecting the jungle located in the corner of the Terai Plain between the Mahabharata Mountains and the Chulia Hills in Chitwan District, Narayani Prefecture in the southern part of central Nepal. In 2006, the royal character was removed from its former name, Royal Chitwan National Park, following the abolition of power by the King.
